A Guide to Starting Empty

The Shinobi's Beginning

This is a guide to what new ninja are allowed to start with, per rank. At the moment, all new members should be starting at Genin level. Other ranks are listed for reference. You may not start as a Missing Ninja.

Genin - Can start with five jutsu. Equipment will be moderated. (Maximum C-Rank.)
Chunin - Can start with seven jutsu. Equipment will be moderated. (Maximum B-Rank.)
Jounin - Can start with ten jutsu. Equipment will be moderated. (Maximum A-Rank.)
Kage - Can start with twelve jutsu. Equipment will be moderated. (Maximum A-Rank.)

Currently, no rank is allowed to start with S-Rank techniques.

As for your ninja's starting equipment, we follow a pretty lenient guideline. Kunai, Shuriken, Senbon, and Ninja Wire aren't going to have set amounts in your equipment. However, your usage of these tools in battle will be moderated. Essentially, you could say your amount is unlimited, but we are expecting our members to maturely handle how much they can truly use in a fight. It's certainly not possible to carry two hundred kunai in your pouch without having quite a few scrolls to do all the work for you.

While you are allowed to start with some other special equipment, everything else will need to be purchased and replenished after battles. You can gain more information on this subject by reading other guidelines.

Elements

Something required for your elemental techniques, the elements of your ninja will follow this system:
Without Kekkei Genkai

Genin are allowed to start with their Primary element.
Chunin are allowed to start with their Primary and Secondary element.
Jounin are allowed to start with their Primary and Secondary element.
Kage are allowed to start with their Primary and Secondary element.

With Kekkei Genkai

Genin are allowed to start with their Kekkei Genkai element.
Chunin are allowed to start with their Kekkei Genkai element and their Primary element.
Jounin are allowed to start with their Kekkei Genkai element, and their Primary element. Through extensive training and practice, Jounin may learn to use their Secondary element.
Kage are allowed to start with their Kekkei Genkai element, and their Primary element. Through extensive training and practice, Kage may learn to use their Secondary element.
